Account Clerk/Accountant

The State of Hawai'i hires Account Clerk/Accountant professionals in each department.

Account Clerk duties involve clerical work systematizing information about transactions and activities into accounts and quantitative records, including computing, classifying & recording numerical data.  Accountant work involves the design, development, installation, operation, & examination of accounting systems; the prescription of accounting requirements; the examination, analysis, and interpretation of accounting data/reports; and advice & assistance to operating management on accounting.
